When planning to build a structure on the water, whether it's a work platform, a luxury home, or a hospitality facility, the biggest part of the investment depends on what's below the surface. The hull is the foundation of the entire project.

Traditional concrete pontoons are too heavy and inflexible, steel is susceptible to corrosion, and fiberglass suffers from osmosis and cracking over time. That's why modern naval architecture is moving to materials that can withstand harsh sea and river conditions: High-density polyethylene (HDPE). Combined with an innovative hexagonal design, we create structures that are literally indestructible.

1. Strength of 20 mm thick HDPE panels

HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) is a thermoplastic polymer known for its incredible strength-to-density ratio. Unlike standard commercial pontoons that use thin and brittle plastic, our hulls are constructed from massive HDPE sheets as thick as 20 mm.

This material is extremely resistant to mechanical shocks, abrasion (scraping against the bottom or shore) and does not crack under the influence of sea waves or ice on rivers. HDPE is also completely immune to corrosion, UV radiation and sea salt, which means that the hull will not lose its properties even after decades of exposure to the harshest conditions.

2. Extrusion welding: A joint stronger than the material itself

The secret to indestructibility lies not only in the thickness of the material, but in the way the panels are joined together. Forget about screws, rivets or glues that loosen over time.

Our modules are connected using advanced technology hot air extrusion welding using HDPE wire. This process melts the edges of the panels and adds a new layer of liquid polyethylene, fusing the components into a single, seamless unit. The weld obtained by this method is structurally stronger than the original panel itself, guaranteeing absolute watertightness under the highest pressures.

3. Why the hexagonal design?

Nature gave us the strongest structural form - honeycomb. Instead of classic cube or tubular pontoons, our system rests on hexagonal modules with a height of 1.2 meters.

This geometric shape brings multiple advantages:

  • Force distribution: The hexagonal grid evenly distributes the hydrodynamic pressure of waves across the entire surface of the hull, instead of taking direct hits on one flat surface.
  • Load capacity and height: With a module height of 1.2 meters, exceptional buoyancy (buoyancy) and a high safety margin of the distance of the deck from the sea surface are ensured, even under the full load of the superstructure.

4. Multi-chamber unsinkability and safety

By connecting a series of hexagonal modules, the hull becomes a robust, multi-chambered network. Each hexagon is an independent air chamber.

In classic hulls, a breach of the outer shell often means the sinking of the entire object. Thanks to our multi-chamber HDPE design, even in the extreme, theoretical case of severe mechanical damage to one chamber, the remaining intact modules take the weight without a problem. The facility maintains complete stability and navigability, providing maximum safety for passengers and investment.

5. Ecology without compromise

In addition to being durable, HDPE is also 100% recyclable. Unlike fiberglass and various coatings that release microplastics and toxic particles into the water over time, high-quality polyethylene is completely neutral for the marine and river ecosystem. Algae and shellfish do not accumulate on the hull to the same extent as on classic materials, and cleaning does not require aggressive chemicals.
