When planning the installation of a floating object, the focus is usually on the design, the luxury of the superstructure and the profitability of the investment. However, to obtain a concession and approval from the relevant institutions, the most important part of your project is located below the sea surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Adriatic seabed is an extremely sensitive ecosystem. European regulations and Croatian laws on nature protection are becoming increasingly rigorous, and the destruction of the seabed is no longer tolerated. Fortunately, advanced engineering brings fixing techniques that guarantee uncompromising stability of your structure with zero environmental damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Traditional anchoring of permanent floating structures relied on massive concrete blocks (so-called. dead body<\/em>) and heavy steel chains. Under the influence of wind and waves, these chains constantly scrape across the seabed in a wide radius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This system permanently devastates the oceanic Posidonia meadows (lat. Posidonia oceanica<\/em>), endemic sea grass that is protected by law. Today, competent ministries and port authorities almost as a rule refuse to issue concessions for projects that envisage such a destructive way of anchoring, especially in hidden, untouched bays that are most attractive to sailors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For shallower areas and protected bays, the cleanest and most stable solution is fixing pylons (Spud Poles)<\/strong>. These are strong vertical pillars that pass directly through the hull of our platform and rely solely on a single point on the seabed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This system completely eliminates the need for chains and bottom dragging. The area of contact with the seabed is reduced to a minimum, leaving the Posidonia and the surrounding ecosystem completely intact. In addition, the pylons allow the platform to adjust vertically to the tide level, while in the horizontal plane the object remains perfectly, millimeter-fixed within the boundaries of its concession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When a microlocation requires the placement of a platform at greater depths where pylons are not practical, they are used ecological (screw) anchors<\/strong>. These anchors are driven deep into sandy or muddy bottoms using special hydraulic tools, without concreting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Instead of classic chains that scrape the bottom, advanced tensioning systems with buoys are used that keep the anchor line constantly taut and lifted off the seabed. This ensures exceptional tensile strength and resistance to strong winds, while the marine flora beneath the platform continues to grow undisturbed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The anchor system suffers significantly less strain thanks to the smart design of the platform itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The hull, built from 1.2 meter high HDPE hexagonal modules, perfectly absorbs and breaks wave energy. In addition, if there is an asymmetrical loading of the platform (e.g. gathering of guests on one side beach bar<\/em>), our integrated PLC system for active ballast control<\/strong> automatically pumps water in the chambers and levels the object. Keeping the platform in perfect balance directly reduces pressure on the anchor system, thereby extending the life of all components and ensuring maximum safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The preparation of documentation for setting up an object on a maritime domain is much easier when the project includes environmentally friendly solutions at the start.
